The Altavista Area Y is honored and excited to announce that Centra has awarded the Y a grant which allows us to offer afforadble PreK education and after school care to the children in Brookneal. Centra's mission is to improve the health and quality of life for the communities they serve. They do this in large part by fostering relationships with the Y, their community stakeholders. Through the Centra Community Grants they are supporting the good work as a partner in their combined efforts to achineve improved health for all. #Centra #Bettertogether #Hereforthecommunity

Child care at the Y is more than looking after kids. It's about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and building self-reliance. Our Y provides quality, affordable child care, in various locations, giving children an enriching start to learning while you are while you are at work.
